Buck Creek Township is located just east of Indianapolis along I-70 in western Hancock County. Established in 1952, this combination department includes 13 full-time and 34 volunteer members. BCTFD provides Fire, Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to nearly 8,300 residents and 37 square miles from their two stations. Their protection area includes the towns of Cumberland, Mt. Comfort and Mohawk and the Mount Comfort Airport.
