Former Fortville Fire Station - US-36
This firehouse was connected to the Town Hall offices. However, in 2009, the fire department was taken over by Vernon Township and their apparatus were moved to the new Station 431 which was built further northwest, near downtown Fortville.
Engine 31 - 2000 KME Predator Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal
Engine 31 was fitted for rescues and exterior fire attacks. It accompanied Rescue 39 on car accidents and was used for mutual aid coverage due to its ability to stand alone as both Fire and rescue truck. E31 carried a a set of extrication equipment as well as spill clean up, a foam preconnect, BLS supplies and various firefighting tools.

Engine 32 - 1991 KME Predator - 1250gpm/750gal
Engine 32 was unique for it's extra tall cab that enclosed the mid-mount pump panel. Fully equipped for interior attacks, Engine 32 was first due for all structure fires. Both Fortville Engines responded with 4-5 personnel with cab room for 6.

Rescue 39 - 2010 HME/Ferrara Medium-Duty Rescue (H-4447)
Rescue 39 responded first-due for all vehicle accidents. It carried a set of Hurst extrication tools in the front bumper. Significantly larger than it's predecessor, this rig has much more room for loose equipment and includes a light tower and PTO generator. This apparatus continued to serve VTFD, but as a Tactical Support Unit.

For a brief time in 2020 and 2021, this apparatus was converted from a medical QRV to the Chief's vehicle of Vernon Township

SQ-39 was certified as a BLS non-transport unit. It can respond quickly to medical and additional manpower calls in and out of Fortville.

Former Rescue 39 - 1988 GMC/Indiana Fire
Rescue 39 previously responded to all extrication and rescue calls along with Engine 31. This apparatus was retired in August 2010 and will be sold at auction by the department.
