This well-equipped rig includes a four-person cab, storage through the tank for ladders, suction hoses and pike poles, a custom Oil Dry hopper in the right side wheel well, two topside storage compartments, a Harrison MAS 6kw hydraulic generator, a TFT Crossfire deck gun package and a Command Light Knight 2 Light Tower.
Engine 48 - 2009 Sutphen Shield Series Pumper (#HS-4696) - 1500gpm/1000gal
E48 responds second-due for structure fires and replaced a Spartan/S&S. Engine 48 was the second of two consecutive production trucks for neighboring departments. Nearby Alexandria's Engine 3 was a similarly configured pumper and was also delivered in October 2009 carrying serial # (HS-4595).
Hazmat 40 - 2005 Spartan/Hackney Custom Rescue
Richland Township is home to the Madison County Hazmat 40, which was previously housed at Anderson Stations 1 and 4. This apparatus responds to all Hazardous Materials Incidents in Anderson and the entire county. A Hazmat response includes members who respond from various departments and entities throughout the county. However, since RTFD has more Hazmat techs than neighboring departments, it made sense to keep it at Station 40.
Hazmat 40 - 2005 Spartan/Hackney Custom Rescue
Hazmat 40 is the largest vehicle for Indiana's Regional Hazmat Task Force 6. This rig carries a wide variety of environmental sensors and testing equipment. In addition to protective suits and gear it also carries some containment and decontamination supplies. Additional Task Force 6 apparatus for decontamination and containment are located in Pendleton and Frankton.
