IFD Station 46 protects the City of Beech Grove. This firehouse was originally built as Beech Grove Station 101. It was then reassigned as Station 57 as part of the countywide re-numbering in 2015. On Christmas Day 2021 the Beech Grove Fire Department, its 35 career firefighters and most of its assets were merged with IFD. As part of the merger, this firehouse and its engine company were reassigned as Engine 46.
