TSU 18 provides air support for all working incidents on the city's east side and downtown. This unique rig had just been purchased by Perry Township immediately prior to its merger with IFD in 2008. It never entered service at Perry Township, but rather sat for more than a year awaiting assignment. Eventually, it was assigned to IFD Squad 29. It was retired from Squad service in 2014, but was reassigned as TSU 18 in the fall of 2016.

This firehouse opened in December 20, 1994 and replaced a much smaller house located about 1/2 mile away at Tibbs and Washington Street. Station 18 is home to Engine 18, TSU 18 and a Hazmat Support Truck.
