Kosciusko County (KOS-kee-US-koh) is located in far northeastern Indiana. The county seat (and only incorporated city) is Warsaw. The county was named for the Polish general Tadeusz Kościuszko who served in the American American Revolutionary War and then returned to Poland. The county seat is named for Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Warsaw is unofficially known as the Orthopedic Capital of the World with 3 of the 7 world's largest orthopedic healthcare manufacturers located here. Fourteen fire departments and one EMS services protect the 79, 344 residents (2018) and 554 square miles of the county.
