LaGrange County is located in far northeastern Indiana along the Michigan border. The county is mostly made up of rural farmland but also has some rolling hills and several lakes. The largest town and county seat is LaGrange. Seven fire departments protect the county's 39,330 (2018) residents and 386 square miles.
