Thorncreek Township is located 25 miles WNW of Fort Wayne, just north of Columbia City along IN-9 in Whitley County. Organized in 1952, the 28 members of this all-volunteer department response to 200 runs each year. TTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First Responder protection to 4,500 residents and all 36 square miles of Thorn Creek Township.
