The city of Hobart is located in eastern Lake County north of US-30. This career department includes 50 firefighters that respond from four stations. HFD provides Fire, Rescue and ALS/BLS transport protection to nearly 30,000 residents over 27 square miles. Their response district includes residential and light industrial areas, along with a large shopping mall corridor. It includes significant and heavily traveled sections of I-65 and US-30.
