The Town of Laconia is located 32 miles SW of Louisville, KY along the Ohio River in rural Harrison County. Organized in 1954, the 25 members of this all-volunteer department responds to 100 runs each year. BTVFD provides, Fire, Rescue and BLS non-transport protection to 1,500 residents and 50 square miles including all of Boone Township. The Township was named after Squire Boone, who settled it the area and built the first Baptist church in the state.
