The town of Vallonia is located 56 miles north of Louisville, KY in far northern Washington County. This department was originally established as the North Washington VFD in 1973. It was reorganized in 2020 into the current Monroe Township Fire Company. The 20 members of this all-volunteer department provide Fire and EMR protection to 38 square miles of Monroe Township.
