Spencer County is located in far southwestern Indiana along the Ohio River. The county seat is Rockport and the largest town is Santa Claus. County attractions include the town of Santa Claus, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, and Santa's Candy Castle. The Saint Meinrad Archabbey is located at the northeastern corner of Spencer County. Nine volunteer fire departments protect the county's 20,327 residents and 401 square miles.
