Hendricks County is located immediately west of Indianapolis in central Indiana. Hendricks is considered one of the "donut counties" and is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan area. The county seat of this rapidly growing county is the Town of Danville. Ten fire departments protect the county's 170,311 residents (2019) and 408 square miles.
